One Day in Detroit the New Downtown

Book Online or Get a Custom Quote

Starting from $375+

Detroit is the largest city in the Midwestern state of Michigan. Near Downtown, the neoclassical Detroit Institute of Arts is famed for the Detroit Industry Murals painted by Diego Rivera, and inspired by the city’s ties to the auto industry, giving it the nickname "Motor City." Detroit is also the birthplace of Motown Records, whose chart-topping history is on display at their original headquarters, Hitsville U.S.A.

SPECTACULAR LOCATION IN DOWNTOWN

The location of the hotel can't be beat. It's at most a two minute walk to The Fillmore. A three minute walk to Hudson Cafe, which I highly suggest as a brunch spot if you're in downtown Detroit. The main entrance to the hotel is just off of Woodward Ave with all of the shops, and caddy corner to Tigers Stadium. Little Caesar's Arena is right down the street as well.

AIt's all about location in Detroit, and the Aloft Detroit places you at the center of it all. Overlooking Grand Circus Park, this chic hotel is a 2-minute walk from Detroit Opera House and 1.4 miles from the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

This Starwood property is definitely in a league of it's own. Pretty much 5 minutes from every major venue Comerica, Ford Field, Fox Theatre, new Little Caesars arena, and Detroit Opera House. Greektown is a 3 minute ride away on the People Mover which is connected to the hotel.

Contemporary rooms have flat-screen TVs with plug-and-play hubs, free WiFi and desks with ergonomic chairs. They also include coffeemakers and minifridges, while bathrooms feature walk-in showers and designer toiletries. Kids are welcomed with air mattresses, bedding and goodie bags. Dogs receive beds, treats and toys (fee).
There's an airy lobby lounge with billiards, a trendy cocktail bar serving snacks, and a 24/7 fitness center. A business center and 8 meeting rooms are available.

Anna S
"I was sadly only in Detroit for 1 day, but Pat's wonderful tour made me feel like I'd been there for a week! In one afternoon, I learned so much about the city's rich history, while she introduced me to all the incredible and incredibly different neighborhoods. We visited the gorgeous riverfront, Downtown, Eastern Market, Midtown, Belle Isle, Greek town, the amazing Heidelberg Project, Third Man Records, Indian Village and Corktown. Her tour is so informative and so much fun - she obviously loves her city, and rightly so - what an incredible place. I can't wait to go back, and can't recommend Show Me Detroit tours highly enough!"
